چکیده
Abstract Vegetation is an important component of preventing erosion and drought, regulating water hydrology, improving soil physical, chemical, biological properties, balancing the carbon dioxide oxygen in air, conserving biodiversity, effecting other biota ecosystem, supporting ecotourism potential. The effect varies depending on structure composition plants that comprise area's vegetation formation. Sibolangit tourism park, with area 24.85 Ha, was established 1980 by Minister Agriculture Decree No. 636/Kpts/Um/1980. This study aims to examine importance value index diversity species park area. data sampled using a simple random sampling method 5% intensity. observation plots were randomly placed cover all sites. Species, diameter, height, number each individual recorded during field observation. total 67 Tourism Park. dominant at tree stage Pterocarpus indicus IVI 28%. Mitrephora obtusa pole sapling stages 52% 35%, respectively. At seedling stage, Strombosia ceylanica 62%. site moderate range 2.71 Shannon-Wiener index.

Floristic diversity assessment and vegetation analysis of tropical semievergreen forest of Manipur, north east India
The present paper aimed to study the floristic diversity of Dipterocarpus tuberculatus dominated forest of Manipur situated along the Indo-Myanmar Border, north-eastern India. A total of 123 species belonging to 48 families were recorded. The quantitative features such as density and importance value index of species varied greatly. In the present study the diversity index of shrubs and herbs w...
متن کاملDiversity and composition of understory vegetation in the tropical seasonal rain forest of Xishuangbanna, SW China.
Tropical forests vegetation and community research have tended to focus on the tree component, and limited attention has been paid to understory vegetation. Species diversity and composition of the understory of tropical seasonal rain forest were inventoried in a 625 m2 area (for sapling layer) and a 100 m2 area (for herb/seedling layer) in three 1 ha plots. We found 3068 individuals belonging ...
متن کاملImpact of Lowland Rainforest Transformation on Diversity and Composition of Soil Prokaryotic Communities in Sumatra (Indonesia)
Prokaryotes are the most abundant and diverse group of microorganisms in soil and mediate virtually all biogeochemical cycles in terrestrial ecosystems. Thereby, they influence aboveground plant productivity and diversity. In this study, the impact of rainforest transformation to intensively managed cash crop systems on soil prokaryotic communities was investigated. The studied managed land use...
متن کاملTaeniasis and cysticercosis in Bali and North Sumatra, Indonesia.
It has been reported that three human Taenia species are distributed in Indonesia: Taenia solium, Taenia asiatica and Taenia saginata. T. asiatica is well known in North Sumatra, especially on Samosir island in Lake Toba. T. solium and T. saginata are known from Bali. T. solium is most serious public health issue in Papua (former Irian Jaya). In this report, we briefly review the present situat...
متن کاملFire Ecology of Ground Vegetation in Pinus roxburghii Sargent Plantations in North-West Himalaya - Floristic Composition and Species Diversity
Effect of fire on phyto-sociology of understorey vegetation in chir pine forests of three different silvological characteristics was compared with pure grassland. 15 grasses, 1 sedge, 5 legumes and 21 non-legumes were recorded in the four study sites. Floristic composition gradually increased from June to August and then declined slowly by October in all the plots. Maximum number of species wa...
